About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and lead a Platform Engineering organization for a secure, scalable, and reliable API-first Compute Platform
  • Enable self-service infrastructure, accelerate application and automation deployment, and support AI-driven and autonomous operations
  • Manage the Quality Engineering team for function and performance testing of compute-based network product offerings
  • Champion AI-Native engineering practices using Generative AI, Agentic workflows, AI-powered development tools, and intelligent automation
  • Lead development of AI-first platforms, agents, and operational capabilities
  • Drive adoption of AIOps and Agentic AI solutions to improve productivity, operational efficiency, and service reliability
  • Build and lead teams across Platform Engineering, SRE, Infrastructure Operations, and Network Edge Validation
  • Define and execute the API-first Compute Platform roadmap
  • Partner with Product, Architecture, Engineering, Security, and Operations leaders
  • Establish engineering excellence, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Own availability, scalability, performance, security, and operational health of cloud, server, and hybrid infrastructure platforms
  • Drive observability, incident management, disaster recovery, capacity planning, and service governance
  • Establish reliability standards, SLIs/SLOs, platform lifecycle management, and operational excellence programs
  • Lead Test Engineering for functional, integration, performance, scalability, resiliency, and release validation of VNF/CNF
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Ensure security, compliance, risk management, and data protection requirements are met
  • Partner with governance teams on vulnerability remediation, technology lifecycle management, vendor partnerships, and budget planning

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of experience leading Platform Engineering, SRE, Cloud Infrastructure, Network Operations, or related engineering organizations
  • Experience building and scaling high-performing teams
  • Deep expertise in cloud-native platforms, Kubernetes, distributed systems, infrastructure automation, observability, reliability engineering, and API-driven platform architectures
  • Experience building self-service infrastructure platforms or Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) capabilities
  • Proven success driving technology transformation, operational excellence, and cross-functional execution across Product, Engineering, Operations, and Security organizations
  • Hands-on experience applying AI-assisted development, Agentic workflows, AIOps, and AI-Native engineering practices
  • Expertise in large-scale distributed infrastructure operations
  • Experience with Kubernetes administration and hybrid cloud environments
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or Ansible
  • Knowledge of Linux systems, bare-metal infrastructure, virtualization technologies such as KVM or Xen, and infrastructure lifecycle management
  • Experience with Network Edge technologies, VNF/CNF validation, performance engineering, and service reliability
  • Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, GitOps, observability, monitoring, incident management, and operational governance
  • Experience with Generative AI, Agentic AI, AIOps, and AI-powered engineering tools
