About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive patient acquisition by building strategic relationships with healthcare and community organizations across a multi-state territory
- Create strategies to maximize brand reach and provider relationships within the territory
- Cultivate new relationships and nurture existing ones through video calls, in-person meetings, events, and educational presentations
- Collaborate with Equip clinical leaders and multiple departments to deliver patient acquisition and admissions goals
- Manage CRM data, outreach efforts, and reports to demonstrate territory performance and inform strategy
- Plan and execute regional events for the target professional audience
- Understand territory needs and position Equip as a solution for providers
- Identify inactive providers and develop actionable re-engagement plans and timelines
- Collaborate with Referral Coordinators and the Admissions team to create an effective referral process
- Work with marketing, clinical operations, and payor partnership teams to penetrate new markets
- Identify local sponsorship opportunities and represent Equip at conferences
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Work remotely with regular field travel of up to 40%, including in-market engagement 2–3 days per week and approximately 2–4 overnight stays per month
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must reside in Downstate Illinois or Wisconsin
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- 2+ years experience in a sales or business development role, preferably in healthcare
- Strong interpersonal skills, relationship-building expertise, and professional presence
- Effective communication, rapport-building, and influence at all organizational levels
- Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented in a fast-paced fluid environment
- Proven track record of meeting goals
- Comfortable with remote work, high autonomy, and self-motivation
- Critical thinking for navigating challenges and rapid change
- Must live in the assigned region with access to reliable transportation
- Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards and to talk or hear by telephone
