About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Further develop and optimize existing Laravel-based systems
- Design and implement new features and applications
- Conduct code reviews and actively ensure code quality
- Help shape technical concepts, architectures, and development standards
- Systematically reduce technical debt and continuously improve existing systems
- Work closely with Product Management and the Development Team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed vocational training or a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a comparable field—or equivalent practical experience
- At least 5 years of professional experience in PHP and Laravel development
- Excellent knowledge of object-oriented programming and web architectures
- Experience further developing long-term, production-grade web applications
- Ownership of code quality and technical decisions beyond your own code
- Structured, quality-focused approach to work, along with teamwork and personal responsibility
- Experience with automated testing in PHP/Laravel environments (e.g., PHPUnit, Pest)
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and structured deployment processes
- Confident use of version control (Git) and modern development workflows
- Strong awareness of code quality, maintainability, and performance
