About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the Systems Engineering team in developing, testing, and maintaining internal applications and services
Collaborate with project managers, business units, and the Systems Engineering team to deliver new features and improvements
Troubleshoot and debug issues
Write clean, maintainable, test-driven, and well-documented code following team standards and best practices
Contribute to testing, documentation, and challenging development processes for continuous development
Provide technical support for systems within the Systems Engineering remit

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree, Diploma or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline
Demonstrable experience of full-stack development in C# .NET Framework / Core, ASP.NET MVC / Razor, HTML, CSS3 and JavaScript
Familiarity with software development IDEs, such as Visual Studio and VS Code
Familiarity with version control tools, such as Git
Understanding of basic data structures and object-oriented development principles
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Good attention to detail
Strong interpersonal and prioritisation skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Enthusiasm for keeping up to date with process and software engineering methods and technologies
Experience of 1–2 years is preferred
Demonstrable experience in T-SQL and SQL Server
Understanding and/or experience of cloud computing platforms, such as Azure or AWS
Exposure to development management tools, such as Azure DevOps or Jira
Knowledge of development methodologies, such as Scrum or Agile
Experience with workflow automation platforms, such as Power Automate
Knowledge of computerised system validation concepts
Fluent in spoken and written English
Must be available to work within CET / GMT business hours
