About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Contribute to planning, implementation, and management of ERIE’s Information Security program
- Implement and maintain security systems and procedures addressing cybersecurity risks, threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents
- Use cloud security monitoring and detection tools to collaborate with application, platform, and pipeline teams and reduce active risks in ERIE’s cloud tenants
- Analyze and mitigate identity and access management risks
- Monitor standards and compliance and manage overall security posture
- Collaborate with Information Security team members on knowledge sharing, cross-team initiatives, and incidents
- Install, configure, administer, and analyze information security technologies, controls, and practices
- Detect, log, monitor, alert, and report on security controls, exceptions, vulnerabilities, threats, risks, and incidents
- Execute actions to protect assets, detect vulnerabilities or threats, and respond to and recover from them
- Develop and manage relationships with stakeholders, risk assurance, IT, and business teams
- Implement and ensure compliance with security measures aligned to industry standards, best practices, and regulations
- Improve Information Security operating rhythm and ERIE’s risk posture through assessments, process and automation improvements, policies, standards, procedures, and capability development
- Develop and present reports, metrics, dashboards, and evidence to enterprise stakeholders, leadership, and corporate officers
- Provide end-user support on security-related issues
- Support security awareness and outreach
- Research industry practices, standards, frameworks, regulations, and emerging threats; make recommendations and mentor or train others
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and 2 years of related experience; or Associate degree in relevant field and 4 years of related experience; or High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years of related experience, required
- Completion of a relevant IT-career preparation program approved by ERIE’s Human Resources and IT Talent Optimization Departments if unrelated degree and/or less experience
- Relevant certifications and/or military training/service may be considered for equivalent education/experience
- Foundational knowledge and skill associated with at least one Information Security discipline and at least one IT domain (analysis, engineering, system administration), required
- Experience with IT delivery or operational methodologies (agile delivery, SDLC, ITIL), preferred
- Critical thinking skills and analytical mindset required
- Persuasive communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, required
- Ability to participate in on-call rotations and work outside regular business hours to support cyber event and incident handling may be required
- Knowledge of IaaS architecture options, cloud-based resources, responsibility model, and posture best practices
- Knowledge of network security architecture and infrastructure administration
- Experience assessing/adjusting identities and permissions in an IaaS environment
- Ability to work within an Agile-directed environment
