About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Recruit, lead, coach, and manage Reimbursement Access Managers
- Ensure optimal provider and patient access
- Drive effective pull-through of reimbursement services and program support
- Support patient affordability programs for the Merz Therapeutics product portfolio
- Establish analytic rigor for the patient support services channel
- Assist commercial business teams with data-driven decisions using vendor reporting and performance-metric dashboards
- Build productive relationships with field-based business partners and cross-functional stakeholders in marketing, finance, legal, and compliance
- Engage external access and reimbursement experts to identify opportunities for innovation and program enhancements
- Monitor the botulinum toxin competitive landscape regarding reimbursement and access
- Create strategies to develop a best-in-class reimbursement function
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree or better preferred
- 5–7 years of experience managing a high-performance team combined with experience in billing, coding, practice management, and/or pharmaceutical reimbursement support
- Excellent collaboration skills and critical-thinking ability
- High competence in product reimbursement, including coverage, coding, and payment for pharmaceutical products, including specialty pharmaceuticals
- Knowledge of patient confidentiality and product access requirements
- Successful leadership, project management, and presentation skills
- Proven ability to manage through a highly matrixed environment
- Proactive, results-oriented self-starter with demonstrated reimbursement-environment experience
- Ability to interpret and integrate business strategies into actionable patient-access initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to build organizational capability and deep experience developing and managing manufacturer HUB operations or specialty-drug patient services/call centers preferred
- Minimum of 50% overnight travel, with flexibility based on business needs
