About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist RNs, physicians, and other providers in the ambulatory care setting
  • Provide direct patient care
  • Perform identified procedures for which competencies have been demonstrated
  • Care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly
  • Potentially float to the Duluth Clinic
  • Work 48 hours per 2 weeks on day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Work without weekends, holidays, or call obligation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Current registration or certification as a Medical Assistant OR completion of a Medical Assistant Program, with certification required within one year of hire and certification passed within two attempts
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the relevant state
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, or ability to obtain within 3 months
  • Ability to provide care to patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly
  • Willingness/ability to potentially float to the Duluth Clinic
