About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve in Essentia Health's Urgent Care Clinics.
  • Work a variety of shifts in the urgent care setting as a PRN employee.
  • Assist RNs, physicians, and other providers in the ambulatory care setting.
  • Provide direct patient care to support Essentia Health's mission and goals.
  • Perform identified procedures for which competencies have been demonstrated.
  • Care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • LPN Education as required for licensure.
  • Current LPN license in the state of North Dakota upon hire.
  • Minnesota LPN license required within 3 months of hire.
  • CMA: Current registration or certification as a Medical Assistant OR verifiable completion of a Medical Assistant Program and must become certified within one year of date of hire.
  • CMA certification must be passed within two attempts.
  • Must be registered as a Medication Assistant III through the North Dakota Board of Nursing within 60 days of hire/transfer.
  • Clinical Assistant cannot administer medication prior to being registered as a MAIII through the ND BON.
  • AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 3 months of hire.
