About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and support Customer and Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) contracting activities across the full contract lifecycle
  • Perform strategic contract negotiations with Customers and/or GPOs in collaboration with National Account Manager and Strategic Account Manager teams
  • Facilitate communication and strategy development among Customers/GPOs, Legal, business leaders, Marketing, Risk Management, and other stakeholders
  • Review bid documents and develop, coordinate, and submit complete bid responses by required deadlines
  • Conduct analyses for therapy areas to evaluate and grow Essity’s GPO position
  • Maintain knowledge of Essity products and value propositions to support negotiations
  • Conduct weekly or bi-weekly stakeholder meetings to review contract expirations and ownership assignments
  • Communicate contract updates and new launches to internal teams to enable timely SAP updates
  • Drive stakeholder management and communication to support business growth and customer satisfaction
  • Prioritize contracts and projects independently, mitigate risk, and resolve complex issues
  • Drive process excellence, operational efficiency, and team capability development
  • Anticipate contract and project roadblocks and develop solutions supporting Essity’s business position and customer experience

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, supply chain, accounting, economics, business law, or a related field; or five (5) or more years of demonstrated equivalent progressive experience in healthcare supply chain, contracting, sourcing, category management or procurement
  • Three (3) or more years of demonstrated strategic contract negotiations, sourcing, and/or category management experience
  • Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) and/or Government contracting and sourcing experience is a plus
  • Knowledge and experience of value analysis processes/techniques and product cross-referencing is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, with intermediate to advanced level skills specifically in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to perform complex cost analyses
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana and various contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools is a plus
  • Strong analytical and administrative capabilities and ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously and efficiently
  • Understanding of pricing administration and contract operations processes
  • Strong written and verbal English-language skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
  • Customer-focused with demonstrated service orientation and responsiveness
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Healthcare industry experience is a plus
