About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure efficient distribution processes to achieve agreed targets for cost, service, and sustainability
- Serve as the central point of contact for all distribution-related topics
- Lead, coach, and develop the regional distribution team
- Manage relevant stakeholders within an international matrix organization
- Own the regional distribution network, including management of contracted logistics service providers for transportation, warehousing, and fulfillment
- Own regional distribution costs, including forecasting, freight cost calculation in SAP, freight auditing, and accrual reporting
- Conduct regional tenders, contract negotiations, and supplier management in alignment with global supply chain and sourcing strategies
- Analyze performance KPIs, cost structures, and network data
- Derive and implement sustainable improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, service quality, and cost-effectiveness
Requirements
What you’ll need- University degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transportation, Procurement, or a comparable field
- Several years of professional experience—at least 5 years—in distribution, transportation, and fulfillment
- Proven leadership experience and the ability to motivate and develop teams and successfully guide them through change processes
- In-depth knowledge of 3PL management, tendering, contract negotiations, and transportation procurement
- Strong understanding of complex supply chain interdependencies and experience working within an international matrix organization
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Good understanding of source-to-pay processes and digital logistics systems
