About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate actively in the monthly financial closing cycle
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Record journal entries
- Maintain a complete and accurate general ledger in accordance with accounting principles and reporting schedules
- Collect, compile, verify, and analyze financial information
- Prepare financial reports and accounting statements
- Assist with internal and external business audits
- Provide technical accounting advice to functional or operational areas
- Oversee and approve special procedures related to defined Accounting services
- Provide input regarding needed changes, inefficiencies, or other possible issues
Requirements
What you’ll need- Accounting Degree preferred
- Previous accounting experience
- Must be detail-oriented with strong planning and organizational skills
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
- Experience with SAP or Power BI a plus
- Ability to demonstrate a strong work ethic
- Travel up to 10% of the time (domestic)
- Ideal candidate should/could live in the Appleton, Neenah, Menasha, WI area
