About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the backlog for one or more SAFe delivery teams
  • Link stories to Epics and Epics to PI Objectives
  • Break features into stories small enough to ship in a 2-week sprint
  • Write technically clear stories with actionable acceptance criteria
  • Embed accessibility, audit-log, PII-handling, and API-integration requirements into stories
  • Partner daily with Tech Leads, developers, SDETs, and UX to resolve ambiguity
  • Use Claude, the internal Product Agent, or equivalent AI tooling to draft, critique, and refine stories
  • Review and reorganize AI-generated tickets before team execution
  • Present completed work at System Demos and explain its impact to stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Direct experience in at least one of: procurement software; a procurement role such as buyer, procurement manager, or category manager; or a technical background in computer science, engineering, React/Node.js development, or hands-on AI work
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Ability to read React and SQL well enough to discuss refactoring with a Tech Lead
  • Comfort working in a regulated or compliance-heavy domain
  • Hands-on experience using AI tooling for drafting, analysis, or critique
  • Experience contributing to or owning an AI-assisted development workflow is nice to have
  • Demonstrated product-owner craft, including breaking complex features into small, testable stories with clear acceptance criteria, is nice to have
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and at least one of wireframing, technical writing, or business analysis is nice to have
  • Prior exposure to govtech, public sector, healthcare, financial services, or legal tech environments is nice to have
