About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the Professional Services team while serving as a customer-facing Implementation Manager for approximately half of the role
  • Serve as the primary client contact during onboarding
  • Conduct kickoff meetings and gather business processes and requirements
  • Advise clients on best practices for implementing and configuring SaaS products
  • Perform basic project management activities, including scope management, communications, risk and opportunity evaluation, and change management support
  • Customize system settings, workflows, and integrations to meet client requirements while minimizing customizations
  • Use Excel to prepare data and perform initial data loads, write simple scripts, and author ad hoc customer reports as needed
  • Collaborate with sales, product management, customer success, and technical support through transition from sales to adoption
  • Develop and deliver client training sessions
  • Create and maintain implementation documentation, user guides, and knowledge base articles
  • Identify, troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate implementation issues while providing client updates
  • Contribute to improving implementation processes and methodologies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Computer Science, Information Systems) or equivalent practical experience
  • 7+ years of experience in a client-facing implementation role, preferably in the SaaS industry
  • Strong understanding of software implementation processes, methodologies, and best practices
  • Experience managing a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams
  • Ability to take the lead in a workshop environment
  • Technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn and navigate new software applications
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • High comfort level with Excel is a plus
  • Ability to design and document reports generated from relational databases
  • Ability to author reports using SSRS or PowerBI is a significant plus
  • Experience with CRM, ERP, or other enterprise software implementations, particularly GovTech, is a plus
  • Familiarity with Jira, Cloud Coach, Autotask, Asana, or similar project tracking and time management software is a plus
