About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including innovative and generic products for the hospital, specialty care, rare diseases, vaccines, and other strategic categories
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, industry events, scientific publications, regulatory approvals, and emerging opportunities in the pharmaceutical sector
- Conduct initial opportunity screening by assessing strategic fit, scientific rationale, development stage, competitive differentiation, and market potential
- Conduct market, competitor, epidemiological, regulatory landscape, therapeutic positioning, and access analyses
- Support the development of business cases, including demand estimates, commercial assumptions, and financial feasibility scenarios
- Coordinate internal opportunity assessment workflows with Medical, Regulatory, Marketing, Market Access, Supply, Operations, Legal, Finance, and other stakeholders
- Prepare executive materials, presentations, assessment memoranda, and recommendations for internal decision-making forums
- Participate in meetings with international partners, supporting discussions on products, markets, commercial strategy, partnership models, and next steps
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field
- Business-related coursework or qualifications (business administration, economics, etc.) are preferred
- Experience in Business Development, Portfolio Management, Market Intelligence, Strategic Marketing, New Business, Strategic Planning, or related areas within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or life sciences sectors
- Analytical ability to interpret market data, scientific information, financial assumptions, and competitive scenarios
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical product evaluation, clinical development, the regulatory environment, the healthcare market, and/or partnership models
- Advanced or fluent English, with the ability to lead meetings, analyze technical materials, and interact with international partners
- Intermediate Spanish, with the ability to communicate professionally in meetings, emails, and negotiations
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for developing analyses, business cases, and executive presentations
