About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify, research, and engage prospective clients across Japan through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other digital channels
- Build, manage, and maintain a qualified opportunity pipeline
- Execute high-volume, high-quality outreach activities against prospecting goals
- Develop targeted prospecting strategies based on industry trends, market developments, and business priorities
- Engage senior stakeholders to understand business objectives, challenges, and growth opportunities
- Qualify prospects through discovery conversations and needs analysis
- Articulate Euromonitor’s value proposition and market intelligence solutions
- Schedule and coordinate qualified meetings with sales representatives
- Partner with Business Development Managers and Account Managers to accelerate pipeline and opportunity development
- Maintain accurate prospect activity records in CRM systems
- Monitor industry developments and share market intelligence internally
- Support regional marketing campaigns, events, webinars, and lead generation initiatives
- Use AI-powered tools and sales intelligence platforms for account research, personalization, prospect identification, and lead qualification
- Use LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and emerging AI tools to improve prospecting productivity
- Support new business growth across Japan and contribute to revenue growth
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1–3 years of experience in sales development, business development, lead generation, inside sales, or commercially focused B2B roles in SaaS, technology, data and analytics, market research, consulting, or information services
- Ambition and desire to build a career in sales and business development
- Self-motivated with ownership, accountability, and urgency
- Resilience and persistence when navigating objections, rejection, and challenging prospecting environments
- Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable initiating conversations and engaging senior business stakeholders
- Curious, coachable, and eager to continuously learn and improve
- Strong organizational and research skills; ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Experience using prospecting and sales intelligence tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Ability to leverage technology and data to improve lead generation, account research, outreach personalization, and sales productivity
- Native Japanese and fluent English (TOEIC 865+ or equivalent)
