About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee the operations of the station
- Ensure excellent customer service
- Maintain fleet and drive revenue growth
- Manage the day-to-day operations of Cairns Airport & City
- Effectively control station costs to achieve financial targets
- Manage staff, including recruitment and performance
- Lead a team to promote a positive team culture
- Actively seek ways to increase initiations within the location
- Monitor KPIs and implement strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase profitability
- Increase vehicle utilisation and fleet availability
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in the car rental industry or similar role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as intermediate computer skills
- Financial literacy and the ability to drive station revenue growth
- The ability to thrive under pressure and a resilient attitude
- Some fleet management experience (highly desirable)
- Valid Australian driver's license with a clean driving record
- Current and ongoing Australian work rights
