About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deploy the customer experience strategy in stations and on board
  • Manage the On Board Experience (OBE) Safety and Business Communications teams
  • Oversee the safety of Train Management teams, customers, employees, and subcontractors
  • Lead safety action and control plans, risk management, and lessons learned initiatives
  • Issue safety authorizations for Train Managers and oversee the maintenance of their competencies
  • Lead OBE projects from initial scoping through implementation
  • Ensure the effective operation and continuous improvement of Train Management tools and applications
  • Manage the Spark On Board newsletter and the Process+ document management platform
  • Deputize for the OBE Director in their absence and ensure continuity of service
  • Contribute to departmental strategy and the company’s strategic projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Extensive experience in rail operations or air transport, preferably in passenger services or train crew roles
  • Proven experience managing teams, ideally in rail or a safety-critical environment
  • Strong knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS) and railway regulations
  • Proficiency in project management, from scoping through outcome tracking
  • Leadership skills, active listening, and a hands-on approach
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders, including teams, senior management, IT, and employee representatives
  • Fluency in French and English is mandatory
