About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Translate complex datasets into clear insights with strategic recommendations that drive measurable actions and outcomes to inform product direction and business priorities
Partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to define KPIs
Work with the evaluation data team to plan short- and long-term annotation work and define evaluation schemas
Communicate analysis results and outcomes clearly and tailor them based on the audience
Help build and evolve the analytical foundation, including event instrumentation, metric frameworks, and scalable self-serve analytics tools
Mentor other team members and raise the bar for data storytelling, analytical rigor, and stakeholder influence across the organization
Work on EvenUp's AI product suite and identify opportunities for proprietary data products

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field such as statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, engineering or related field, or equivalent years of practical work experience
5+ years of experience using SQL or similar big data querying languages
5+ years of experience with a programming language such as Python or R
5+ years of experience with applied statistical techniques, such as inferential methods, causal methods, A/B testing, or statistical modeling techniques
Experience using machine learning and statistical analysis for building data-driven product solutions or performing methodological research
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with ability to distill complex findings from data and models into compelling insights for technical and non-technical audiences
Advanced degree in applied mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, economics or related field (nice to have)
Experience in a product-focused role in or legal medical domain (nice to have)
Strong mentorship and leadership skills, with a track record of elevating scientific standards and growing junior talent across teams (nice to have)
