Key responsibilities & impact

Own proactive sourcing for Engineering and ML roles, including software, infrastructure, data, and applied ML/AI
Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to translate role requirements into sourcing strategy
Evaluate technical profiles, including GitHub, open-source contributions, publications, patents, conference talks, and communities
Craft personalized outreach and nurture sequences for passive technical candidates
Run screens and handoffs that provide an excellent candidate experience
Track response rates, funnel conversion, and pipeline health
Diagnose and re-engineer stalled searches
Map talent markets and competitors and share market supply, compensation, and hiring-trend insights
Build and maintain talent pipelines and communities, including diverse talent pools, referrals, events, and community engagement
Maintain clean ATS hygiene in Ashby, accurate notes and write-ups, and reliable reporting
Pilot sourcing tools and AI-enabled approaches such as Metaview
Champion EvenUp's values and exceptional candidate experience

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience sourcing technical talent (Engineering and/or ML) in a fast-paced startup or high-growth environment, including senior or niche roles
Working technical fluency to evaluate resumes, repositories, papers, and technical work
Experience building pipeline from scratch with LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Boolean/X-ray search, communities, and AI sourcing tools
Strong data fluency using metrics and benchmarks
High agency under ambiguity and experience unblocking stalled searches
Resilience through pressure and change
Deep ownership of sourcing craft and data hygiene
Growth mindset and curiosity about new tools, markets, and approaches
Excellent persuasive written and verbal communication
Experience sourcing AI/ML research or applied ML roles is nice to have
Experience with Ashby, Metaview, or similar ATS and AI recruiting tools is nice to have
Background in legal tech, SaaS, or AI-native companies is nice to have
Prior technical role or deep familiarity with engineering domains is nice to have
