Key responsibilities & impact

Own and shape the technical direction of iOS and Android mobile platforms
Lead improvements to mobile architecture, engineering standards and development practices
Address technical debt and platform challenges to improve app speed, reliability and maintainability
Collaborate with mobile and product teams to improve software development, testing and release processes
Balance platform improvements with product delivery
Share knowledge, guide technical decisions and help mobile engineers grow
Support critical mobile infrastructure, security and dependency updates across SalonBiz when needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong hands-on mobile engineering experience across iOS and Android
Experience leading technical projects and influencing architecture and engineering decisions
Solid understanding of mobile platform architecture, performance, reliability and security
Ability to identify technical challenges, prioritize improvements and find practical solutions
Ability to work across engineering and product teams
Strong communication skills and collaborative approach
Passion for sharing knowledge, mentoring others and continuous improvement
Legally entitled to work in New Zealand
