Key responsibilities & impact

Prototype ideas rapidly using Figma, AI prototyping tools, or code
Test interactive prototypes with customers early and iterate before engineering commitment
Shape information architecture as Invoice Simple expands into payments, bookkeeping, and AI
Identify major experience problems and opportunities across customer journeys
Provide evidence-based recommendations to guide squad priorities
Design toward activation, retention, and conversion goals
Design experiments and interpret results with product managers and analysts
Create trustworthy AI experiences that keep customers informed and in control
Partner with product managers and engineers from discovery through delivery
Contribute to the design system across iOS, Android, and web
Report to the Design Manager
Build relationships with product and engineering partners

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years designing digital products
Portfolio of shipped mobile and web work demonstrating impact
Strong interaction design skills
Solid understanding of information architecture
Ability to simplify complex workflows for non-technical users
Rapid prototyping skills in Figma and AI-assisted prototyping or coding tools
Experience designing consumer, SMB, or self-serve products
Comfort with research and data, including customer sessions, analytics, and experiments
Familiarity with native iOS and Android patterns
Experience working in a design system
Must be eligible to work without sponsorship
Experience with growth goals such as activation, conversion, or retention is an asset
Experience with payments, fintech, or financial products is an asset
Maker mindset, strong focus on simplicity, curiosity about customers, collaboration, openness to feedback, and attention to detail
