About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage medical communications projects from inception to completion
- Manage scientific content development, conference engagements, data visualization, healthcare provider KOL engagement, speaker program development and training, advisory boards, educational events, and omnichannel initiatives
- Manage tactical execution of integrated medical communications plans
- Develop strategic planning and coordinate cross-functional collaboration
- Work with Project Management, Medical, Strategy, Creative, and Subject Matter Experts to produce project plans
- Serve as a main contact for clients and agency partners
- Develop tactical plans and support broader strategic efforts alongside Account Directors
- Identify and meet client needs while aligning internal processes for successful project execution
- Lead client presentations and facilitate internal project meetings
- Lead detailed campaign and project plan development and serve as project owner
- Manage status updates, financial forecasting, budgets, target goals, and client objectives
- Manage peer-to-peer education projects across digital, social, and in-person channels throughout the project lifecycle
- Manage program logistics, including venue selection, contract negotiations, travel, catering, room setups, audiovisual services, rooming lists, transportation, and vendors
- Customize and distribute program documents to attendees
- Coordinate reconciliation of final invoices with the EIT Meeting Services Team
- Follow agency procedures, processes, and workflows
- Maintain or exceed minimum billable utilization percentages
- Train and develop junior team members
Requirements
What you’ll need- Approximately 5 to 8 years of related industry experience
- Client services, advertising/marketing agency, and pharmaceutical marketing experience required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education plus professional experience required
- Strong and applied experience in marketing and advertising, with expertise in digital strategy, media, and technology
- Meeting planning/services, live and virtual event management, and congress experience preferred
- Ability to approve copy, scope, and deliverables with high quality-control standards
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects with competing deadlines
- Strong command of agency offerings and expertise
- Strong client relations skills and proven customer satisfaction
- Proven ability to manage projects to successful completion
- Strong negotiation skills
- Previous medical communications experience, including speaker bureau content
- Understanding of web development technologies and processes
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and develop Account Administrator and Account Manager team members
- Strategic skill and strong business acumen
- Sound analytical skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong presentation and verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism
- Periodic travel required; ability to manage and travel to meetings in the US, on-site with clients, or national and regional congresses
