About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and implement training materials for current and future products
- Identify, develop, and implement advanced learning programs focused on clinical acumen, skill development, strategic partnerships, and account management
- Establish learning and development objectives and initiatives for high-performing commercial field teams
- Support new hires through onboarding, new-hire training, and ongoing skill development
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, commercial operations, market access, human resources, and information technology leadership
- Deploy learning programs across home-study curricula, live and virtual training, area and regional meetings, and national sales meetings/POAs
- Assess knowledge gaps within field teams and address them through training initiatives
- Learn disease-state materials and implement training in a timely manner
- Evaluate training participants’ competency and provide detailed feedback
- Work with sales management to formulate development plans
- Ensure activities and materials comply with internal regulatory and legal requirements
- Partner with Sales, Medical/Clinical, Legal, Regulatory, and other strategic partners to develop and deliver training
- Guide and manage the LMS administrator and distance-learning technology
- Manage vendor partners from selection through content development and deployment
- Conduct presentation-skills training for speakers with medical and commercial teams
- Participate in research to support development of future training materials
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3-5 years’ experience in a Sales Training role within the Pharmaceutical or Device industry
- Experience delivering training to a variety of audiences in a corporate setting
- Preferred experience selling and/or training
- Ability to command a strong classroom presence and convert concepts, skills, and knowledge into a learning context
- Fundamental knowledge of adult learning principles preferred
- Strong platform, presentation, and facilitation skills
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Project management abilities
- Ability to learn new technical, clinical, and medical product and disease state knowledge
- Willingness to travel and overnight availability
- Ability to set goals and meet deadlines
- Ability to prioritize
- Ability to generate ideas and find solutions
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Versatility and flexibility
