About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Function as the primary medical point of contact in the geographic area
- Maintain clinical and scientific expertise in otolaryngology pathophysiology and gene therapy, focusing on standards of care for RRP
- Conduct compliant scientific peer exchange with KOLs regarding the company pipeline
- Understand clinical protocols, clinical trial outcomes, and related procedures
- Develop and track KOL engagement plans and maintain long-term collaborative relationships
- Engage in medical and scientific exchange with the medical/scientific community, including advisory boards
- Manage and develop the assigned territory
- Handle clinical program requests and unsolicited requests for information
- Collaborate with R&D to support sites and investigators in company-sponsored clinical trials
- Conduct pre-launch KOL profiling and top account/institution profiling
- Collaborate with commercial colleagues on account engagement
- Respond to and document unsolicited requests for clinical information
- Provide feedback and insights from KOL interactions to internal teams
- Represent the company at medical meetings and provide Scientific Booth coverage
- Attend congresses and develop internal reports
- Adhere to corporate SOPs and legal and regulatory guidelines
- Manage the assigned territory and contribute to MSL team success
- Provide medical support, clinical input, and training for internal teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- An advanced degree (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MD, MSN, or NP/PA) is required
- MSL: Minimum of 2 years previous MSL experience
- MSL: Minimum of 1 year in rare disease, oncology, and/or immunology with working knowledge of gene therapy
- Sr. MSL: Minimum of 5 years of pharma experience
- Sr. MSL: Minimum of 3 years of rare disease, oncology, and/or immunology experience
- Cell and Gene Therapy experience strongly preferred
- Prior product launch experience required
- Highest level of scientific, business, and clinical acumen
- Excellent communication and networking skills
- Ability to interpret and present scientific data to engage KOLs
- Working knowledge of standards of care for RRP is desirable
- Previous experience sharing scientific content with payer systems is highly desirable
- Working knowledge of NCI Cooperative Groups and Oncology Research Consortiums
- Ability to present complex scientific and value and evidence data to payors and/or formulary committees is required
- Working knowledge of institutions and clinics in selected geographies
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills
- Ability to travel frequently (70%) with overnight stays
- Must follow corporate SOPs and relevant legal and regulatory guidelines
- Role eligible for hire in select U.S. locations
