About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build, develop, and lead a high-performing field-based sales team
- Provide strategic direction and manage sales-force operations
- Develop pre-launch strategic and tactical plans and execute approved plans
- Work cross-functionally with Market Access, Commercial Operations, Marketing, and Medical Science Liaison teams
- Hire, train, develop, and manage Precision Account Managers
- Conduct regular field visits and business reviews
- Build relationships with academic medical centers, cancer institutions, physicians, account influencers, and key thought leaders in the US
- Oversee key-account management and account plans
- Ensure customer service and expertise across accounts
- Manage oral specialty pharmacy fulfillment, organized customers, systems of care, and HUB capabilities
- Coordinate customer support and patient-journey resources
- Coach sales representatives on oncology messaging, territory planning, account calls, and patient pull-through
- Stay current on oncology clinical, disease-state, and business developments
- Provide market insights to marketing, sales leadership, and internal partners
- Support understanding of comprehensive molecular profiling for biliary tract cancers
- Lead team meetings, interview and supervise staff, communicate company policies, provide coaching and feedback, and manage performance and personnel actions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Minimum 7+ years of Regional/Area Management experience of an oncology sales team
- Experience in oncology sales, preferably solid oncology
- Strong understanding of oncology products, treatment modalities, and oncology market landscape
- Broad cross-functional commercial experience is a plus
- Ability to hire, develop, and manage employees
- Strong analytical skills for assessing market dynamics, competitor activities, and oncology trends
- Understanding of patient claim data
- Significant understanding of oncology reimbursement, particularly oral specialty pharmacy
- Ability to coach representatives working with a Patient Support Service HUB
- Strong knowledge of VEEVA systems and Microsoft Office
- Consistent compliance with guidelines
- Advanced Degree preferred
- Experience in gastrointestinal oncology, hepatobiliary cancers, rare disease, molecular diagnostics, precision oncology, or biomarker-driven therapy preferred
- Product launch experience preferred
- Established relationships with key opinion leaders, oncologists, and oncology stakeholders highly valued
