About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, deliver, execute, and manage training needs for pharmaceutical clients
- Understand and communicate disease states, market landscapes, and product-specific materials
- Support evaluation, creation, and implementation of training initiatives throughout the project lifecycle
- Design and develop training content and materials
- Facilitate engaging live and virtual training sessions, including product knowledge, disease state, and selling skills training
- Support development of training and home study materials for initial and follow-up classes
- Support management of materials through legal, regulatory, and medical review
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement slide presentations, workshops, reference guides, job aids, and modules
- Support Directors of Training and Project Managers through detailed project management practices
- Assist with agenda management, Portal/Platform LMS setup, and production services
- Learn and implement new disease state, branded, and unbranded materials in a timely manner
- Provide train-the-trainer, new hire, and sustainment curriculum training
- Support sales management teams with training materials, workshops, and facilitation at National, Sales, and POA meetings
- Manage the Training Project Plan, including task management, issue escalation, risk identification, and interdependencies
- Onboard, develop, and coach field-based trainers and emerging sales representative leaders through virtual and live field rides
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous experience in a pharmaceutical training environment is mandatory
- Previous experience in a pharmaceutical sales environment with exposure to training is preferred
- Experience supporting detailed, multi-component programs from concept to completion in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Product launch or major new indication launch experience preferred
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Track record developing and executing successful training programs
- Highly computer literate, with proficiency in MS Office and related business and communication tools
- Familiarity with traditional and modern training processes and adult learning principles
- Working knowledge of sound instructional design
- Fantastic organizational and time management skills
- Strategic and creative mindset
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Expertise in training and facilitation
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts or Science
- 3+ years of experience as a successful sales representative selling pharmaceuticals or medical equipment
- 5+ years of experience in a national sales training department with curriculum development and delivery is required
- Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Suite
- Preferred: 5+ years of progressively responsible experience and advancement within healthcare, pharmaceutical, or biotech industry in sales or sales training
- Preferred: Veeva or similar software and Learning Management Systems
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% based on clients’ training needs
