About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead financial governance practices in cloud computing environments
- Continuously optimize costs and operational efficiency by aligning IT, the business, and Finance
- Execute FinOps playbook routines
- Implement rightsizing, reservations, savings plans, automations, and shutdowns
- Conduct consumption analyses and propose data-driven improvements
- Collect and consolidate consumption data
- Support the validation of billing, invoices, and tax documents
- Verify tagging and allocation compliance
- Monitor anomalies and record incidents
- Record and track recommendations
- Produce recurring reports and update dashboards
- Maintain evidence and documentation for the area
- Support squads and business-unit points of contact
- Track efficiency, predictability, and cost accountability KPIs
- Collaborate with infrastructure, architecture, engineering, security, and Finance teams
- Develop automations and integrations for cloud financial management
Requirements
What you’ll need- In-depth knowledge of cloud governance, consumption measurement, and billing models
- Advanced experience with Azure Cost Management + Billing, AWS Cost Explorer, and GCP Billing Reports
- Advanced experience with Cloud8, PierCloud, CloudHealth, and/or Cloudability
- Experience implementing and managing tagging strategies, Chargeback/Showback, budgets, alerts, and dashboards
- Experience with cloud contracts (EA, MCA, RI, SP, Commitment Usages)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent higher education qualification
- Preferred: experience with the FinOps.org framework and FOCUS
- Preferred: FinOps certification (Certified Practitioner) and certification in Microsoft Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud
