About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and drive a cross-functional project portfolio covering new product launches, packaging changes, retail launches, promotions, co-manufacturer onboarding, and related initiatives
- Drive end-to-end innovation projects through stage-gate processes from product development through launch and post-launch review
- Manage artwork refreshes, packaging and structure changes, variety packs, shippers, displays, co-packs, and custom packs
- Drive new customer setups and retail launches, including timelines, dependencies, and retailer requirements
- Manage bundles, promotions, merchandise sourcing, ordering, creative management, and shipping
- Coordinate co-manufacturer onboarding, ingredient approvals, recipe changes, reformulations, and cost-savings initiatives
- Create Asana workback schedules with owners, dependencies, milestones, and gates
- Follow up on commitments, identify timeline risks and slips, and drive accountability
- Lead project meetings, stage-gate reviews, and decision forums with clear agendas, decisions, owners, and next steps
- Anticipate risks, build contingency plans, and develop solutions with cross-functional partners
- Escalate decisions requiring leadership input with context, options, and recommendations
- Provide leadership visibility into project status, risks, dependencies, and resource conflicts
- Establish Asana as the single source of truth through templates, intake processes, dashboards, and reporting
- Build and formalize stage-gate processes, repeatable playbooks, and scalable templates
- Run post-launch reviews and improve processes based on learnings
- Report to the VP of Product & Retail Marketing and collaborate with Product, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Creative, Sales, and Finance
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of project or program management experience, including at least 3 years within CPG, food and beverage, or supplements
- Track record of leading product launches from concept to shelf across R&D, packaging, supply chain, and retail
- Hands-on experience running a stage-gate or similar product launch process
- Advanced Asana skills, including building projects, templates, workflows, and dashboards
- Experience working with co-manufacturers, packaging suppliers, or artwork routing
- Strong cross-functional project management skills and ability to drive accountability without formal authority
- Ownership mindset and responsibility for outcomes
- Ability to respectfully challenge timelines, assumptions, and senior stakeholders
- Problem-solving, contingency planning, and data-driven decision-making skills
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a high-growth environment and bring structure without slowing the team down
- Experience using AI tools to work faster and smarter
- Comfort working remotely with a highly cross-functional team
- PMP certification is nice to have
- Agile certification, such as PMI-ACP, CSM, or SAFe, is nice to have
- Lean or Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) is nice to have
- Experience with functional beverages, supplements, or better-for-you brands is nice to have
- Experience across DTC subscription and major retail channels is nice to have
