About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex, scalable, and maintainable software solutions
Architect and implement high-performance APIs and microservices
Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and engineers to translate business needs into technical solutions
Drive the technical vision for projects and contribute to architectural discussions and long-term planning
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best coding practices
Mentor and coach junior engineers
Improve the software development lifecycle through automation, testing, and CI/CD pipelines
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to ensure high availability and reliability
Evaluate and integrate tools, frameworks, and technologies
Use approved AI-assisted tools across design, development, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and analysis
Validate AI-generated outputs for correctness, security, maintainability, compliance, and business appropriateness
Contribute reusable prompts, skills, agents, and AI-assisted development patterns
Partner with architecture, security, and platform teams to integrate AI-enabled capabilities into enterprise applications
Follow policies governing AI usage, intellectual property, security, privacy, PHI handling, and Responsible AI practices
Participate in peer reviews and validation processes for AI-assisted solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of professional software development experience
Proficiency in multiple programming languages, such as C#, Java, or Python
5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft and .NET technologies, specifically .NET Core, C#, and T-SQL
Experience building scalable and performant RESTful APIs using ASP.NET
Relational database development experience, preferably using SQL Server
Experience with at least one testing framework, logging framework, and ORM framework
Deep understanding of microservices, event-driven architecture, and RESTful API design
Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Expertise in SQL and NoSQL database design and optimization
Experience using Git-based source control systems, including pull requests
Ability to work independently and as part of a globally distributed team
Strong problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills, including leading technical discussions, presenting to stakeholders, and writing detailed documentation
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
High speed internet over 10 Mbps at home
Ability to complete identity verification, background check, and in-person I-9 verification
Government issued photo ID required for identity verification
May be subject to drug screening prior to employment
