About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex front-end features in React and Next.js
Build Server and Client Components according to rendering and caching standards
Implement backend-for-frontend endpoints and integrate with .NET/C# and Python/FastAPI services
Integrate Entra ID/OpenID Connect authentication
Build data-heavy screens, PDF and document viewers, rich-text editors, and workflow wizards
Build streaming user interfaces using SSE, Vercel AI SDK, assistant-ui, and CopilotKit over AG-UI
Implement human-in-the-loop workflows for approving, modifying, or overriding agent recommendations
Handle slow, interrupted, and failed agent calls with retries, timeouts, resumable streams, and status messaging
Contribute to AG-UI event contracts and shared-state design
Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers
Build accessible components meeting WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA and Section 508
Write component and end-to-end tests using Vitest, React Testing Library, and Playwright
Improve CI/CD pipelines, supply-chain controls, and OpenTelemetry instrumentation
Troubleshoot production issues to maintain user-experience availability and reliability
Use and validate approved AI-assisted engineering tools and contribute reusable prompts, skills, agents, and development patterns
Follow policies for AI usage, intellectual property, security, privacy, PHI handling, and Responsible AI
Handle patient data safely under HIPAA

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of professional software development experience, including 3+ years building production web applications with React and TypeScript
Hands-on experience with Next.js, including Server and Client Components, server-side rendering, and streaming
Experience building streaming or real-time user interfaces using Server-Sent Events or WebSockets
Experience building data-heavy enterprise screens using KendoReact (Telerik) or MUI
Experience integrating front ends with REST APIs and backend services, including the backend-for-frontend pattern
Experience implementing authentication with Entra ID (Azure AD) and OpenID Connect
Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA and Section 508
Experience with Vitest or Jest, React Testing Library, and Playwright
Experience with Docker, CI/CD with GitHub Actions, and Git-based workflows, including pull requests
Strong, daily use of AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot
Ability to work independently and as part of a globally distributed team
Excellent problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills, including leading technical discussions, presenting to stakeholders, and writing detailed documentation
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
High-speed internet over 10 Mbps at home
Ability to complete identity verification, background check, in-person I-9 verification, and possible drug screening prior to employment
Ability to comply with the prohibition on AI tools during interviews
