About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead quality strategy for complex software applications
Own test planning, test automation frameworks, and quality signals for release readiness
Develop and manage functional, regression, performance, security, exploratory, and automated testing
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, product planning, Agile ceremonies, and peer reviews
Define and uphold test automation patterns and standards
Build, maintain, and optimize UI and API automation frameworks
Integrate and execute automated suites in CI/CD pipelines
Create and maintain test data and refactor test scripts as applications evolve
Isolate, analyze, document, prioritize, and escalate defects
Analyze test results and quality data, generate metrics, and report quality state and release readiness
Mentor quality engineers and lead technical knowledge-sharing sessions
Use and validate approved AI-assisted tools for test design, scripting, test data, documentation, troubleshooting, defect analysis, and AI-enabled testing workflows
Contribute reusable prompts, skills, agents, playbooks, and AI-assisted testing patterns
Develop test strategies for AI-enabled capabilities with architecture, security, and platform teams
Follow policies for AI usage, intellectual property, security, privacy, PHI handling, and Responsible AI

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with hands-on UI and API automation and manual testing
Strong hands-on experience building automation frameworks with Java and Selenium WebDriver and/or TypeScript/JavaScript with Playwright
Proficiency with TestNG, JUnit, Maven, Karate, and/or Cypress
Strong coding skills in Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript
Experience creating and maintaining automation jobs in Jenkins, GitHub Actions with YAML, or GitLab
Version control with Git
Proficiency in SQL for test data creation and maintenance
Knowledge of JIRA or ALM
In-depth knowledge of functional, regression, performance, and security testing methodologies
Experience working in Agile development environments
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to mentor others
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
High-speed internet over 10 Mbps at home
Must complete comprehensive background check and in-person I-9 verification
May be subject to drug screening prior to employment
AI tools are prohibited and monitored during interviews
Preferred: experience with AI-assisted development/testing platforms, AI-driven testing, prompt engineering, LLMs, MCP servers, AI services/models/agents, PyTest, and healthcare or other regulated environments handling PHI
