About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build trusted relationships with athletic departments, conferences, collegiate venues, campus safety leaders, and university decision-makers
- Identify high-potential universities and conferences, create executive relationships, generate pipeline, and lead complex opportunities from initial outreach through close
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans for assigned collegiate athletics accounts and territories
- Manage the complete new-business sales process from account identification through discovery, demonstration, business case creation, proposal, negotiation, and close
- Understand institutions’ priorities, traditions, operating environments, event calendars, decision-making structures, and fan and guest experience goals
- Help prospective customers define requirements, quantify value, and evaluate safer, more efficient venue operations
- Navigate complex buying committees and align stakeholders with different priorities
- Develop executive sponsors and internal champions
- Create account plans, stakeholder maps, close plans, and mutual action plans
- Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns, events, thought leadership, and market-development programs
- Partner with Product, Customer Success, Legal, Finance, and implementation teams from engagement through launch
- Represent Evolv at collegiate athletics, venue management, sports business, safety, security, and higher-education events
- Maintain opportunity data, next steps, forecasts, and customer insights in Salesforce
- Share market intelligence to refine Evolv’s collegiate athletics strategy
- Build pipeline, meet or exceed territory revenue expectations, close complex opportunities, and maintain pricing integrity and forecast accuracy
- Report to the Vice President of Sports and Entertainment
- Travel throughout the territory to universities, conferences, events, and customer locations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Successful experience in new-business sales, business development, corporate partnerships, strategic accounts, or another revenue-generating role
- Demonstrated ability to build pipeline and convert relationships into measurable business opportunities
- Experience managing complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and formal procurement processes
- Ability to communicate credibly with operational teams and senior executives
- Strong discovery, presentation, negotiation, business writing, and storytelling skills
- Experience developing territory plans, account strategies, stakeholder maps, and close plans
- Strong CRM discipline and comfort with pipeline quality, next steps, and forecast accuracy
- Independence and resourcefulness in a remote, high-growth environment
- Collaborative approach to involving internal partners
- Collegiate athletics, conferences, multimedia rights, sponsorships, ticketing, premium seating, or corporate partnerships experience is particularly relevant
- Experience with sports and entertainment venues, live events, facilities, guest experience, higher education, campus-wide technology solutions, safety, security, venue operations, or public-safety technology is particularly relevant
- Experience selling solutions requiring coordination among operations, technology, finance, procurement, legal, and executive leadership
- Ability to travel approximately 50% to 80%
- Flexibility to attend games, events, demonstrations, industry gatherings, and customer meetings during some evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be located in Texas; preference for candidates near Dallas and a major airport
