About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide exceptional customer service in a phone-based environment
- Enter high volumes of data and process prescription information accurately
- Receive prescription authorizations, clarifications, and transfers using drug knowledge
- Perform claim adjudication and auditing, including prior authorizations, billing, and eligibility checks
- Make outbound calls to patients
- Work through case queues to resolve patient care issues
- Serve as liaison between clinical pharmacists and other medical professionals
- Partner with technicians and pharmacists to onboard new ExactCare patients
- Maintain confidential patient records
- Retrieve and verify prescription information through doctor calls
- Place welcome calls to newly onboarded patients
- Create, maintain, and update patient medication profiles
- Provide backup support during high patient call volumes
- Assist patients with questions over the phone
- Support ExactCare’s nationwide patient base in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma/GED
- Certified with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Health Association (NHA) and maintain a current certificate
- Must maintain a pharmacy technician registration with State Board of Pharmacy
- Must be 18+ years of age
- Prior experience in a pharmacy setting
- Comfortable working in a phone-based environment
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to utilize computer equipment, technology, and multiple software programs
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Thorough drug knowledge
- Pharmacy billing knowledge
- Knowledge of prescription processes, clarifications, and transfers
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Ability to think critically and document pertinent details compliantly with state and federal regulations
- Full-time availability averaging 40 hours per week
- Availability outside normal business hours on an ad-hoc basis
- Applicants must be eligible to work in this country
- Must be able to commute to multiple site locations within assigned territory
