About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform innovative software development, data engineering, and product support
- Collaborate with a Scrum team throughout the development lifecycle
- Design, develop, test, debug, enhance, and deliver software solutions
- Participate in and contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies
- Conduct code reviews
- Analyze and research software requirements for user stories and epics
- Resolve customer complaints and respond to software modification or enhancement suggestions
- Learn and integrate new technologies with cloud and product infrastructure
- Raise problems to senior developers and help identify solutions
- Communicate updates, changes, and risks to stakeholders
- Work with engineers, product owners, architects, and business stakeholders
- Support applications, data pipelines, integrations, databases, and cloud infrastructure
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or 5+ years of related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Minimum of 4+ years of software development experience with modern programming languages and concepts
- Experience with Python, Java, JavaScript or TypeScript, and object-oriented development
- Experience with Databricks and modern data engineering platforms, including data ingestion, transformation, integration, processing, and data pipelines
- Strong SQL and relational database experience, including MySQL, query optimization, performance tuning, and execution-plan analysis
- Experience developing applications and services integrating with data platforms, APIs, databases, enterprise systems, and React or other modern web application frameworks
- Strong AWS experience across application development, data engineering, storage, compute, security, monitoring, and deployment
- Experience with Docker, containerized application development, source control, CI/CD, and software delivery practices
- Experience working with large production codebases and troubleshooting applications, data pipelines, integrations, databases, and infrastructure
- Experience translating business and functional requirements into technical designs and engineering work
- Experience with instrumentation, monitoring, analytics, and performance measurement
- Experience with authentication, authorization, secure application development, and sensitive or regulated data
- Experience with agile methodology is a plus/preferred
- Proficiency with Git, Jira, code review, QA, continuous integration, and deployments
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, written, verbal, and collaborative skills
- Ability to work across applications, data pipelines, integrations, databases, and cloud infrastructure
