About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze customer logistics data, warehouse processes, material flows, performance requirements and operational constraints
- Translate customer requirements into tailored automation solution concepts and layouts integrating Exotec technology
- Define performance requirements and balance technical feasibility with commercial considerations
- Own qualified customer opportunities and partner with Sales Executives on technical and commercial proposals
- Clarify technical specifications, pricing inputs, timelines, implementation constraints, costs and margins
- Present solutions to technical and business stakeholders
- Design processes and interfaces between Exotec software, customer software and warehouse systems
- Incorporate IT security requirements into solution design
- Work with WMS, WCS and WES environments
- Collaborate with Sales and cross-functional stakeholders throughout the opportunity and project lifecycle
- Support integrators with technical guidance and best practices
- Contribute to project handover, deployment and ongoing solution maintenance
- Share customer and market insights with HQ teams
- Strengthen solution-engineering practices and standards
- Manage multiple opportunities and projects simultaneously
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 3 years of relevant experience in warehouse logistics, ideally within solutions engineering, warehouse automation or intralogistics
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end warehouse processes, material flows and warehouse systems
- Experience designing technical solutions based on complex customer requirements, including layouts and performance considerations
- Experience with WMS, WCS, WES or comparable logistics software, with the ability to understand and define interfaces between different systems
- A solid understanding of IT security considerations within integrated technical solutions
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or other layout-design tools and process-mapping software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn logistics and operational data into practical solutions
- Professional fluency in English
- German language skills are a strong advantage, particularly for customer negotiations
- Customer-facing communication and presentation skills
- Previous B2B sales-engineering experience in intralogistics is a strong plus
- A proactive, collaborative and adaptable approach, with the autonomy to manage multiple priorities and contribute beyond your immediate projects
- Willingness to travel and collaborate closely with customers and colleagues
