About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and develop the CTO-aligned Technical Program Management team
Set the standard for AI-native TPM craft
Ensure delivery against scorecard, say-do ratio, and AI adoption outcomes
Own and curate the CTO TPM program slate
Define and refine intake, triage, and handoff criteria for complex, cross-cutting, high-impact technology initiatives
Architect and run annual and quarterly planning and operating cadences
Translate strategic priorities into capacity-checked, initiative-level plans with Product and Engineering
Manage engineering commitments and headcount allocation across subdivisions
Maintain visibility connecting strategic goals to execution, progress, scope, and delivery mix
Drive the TPM community of practice and cross-organizational standards, tooling, and development
Advance an AI-native operating model and integrate AI/ML-enabled solutions into TPM workflows
Partner with Analytics and stakeholders to create a continuous planning feedback loop
Use data and AI-assisted insights for mid-quarter rebalancing, resource allocation, and portfolio predictability
Partner with technology and product leaders to align resources, roadmaps, and execution across Expedia Group's technology portfolio

Requirements

What you’ll need

12+ years of relevant professional experience for Bachelor's or 10+ years for Master's
At least 4 years leading TPM teams or a TPM function with Director-level people leadership scope across multiple engineering groups or equivalent experience
Proven experience running enterprise-scale annual and quarterly planning cycles, including capacity planning, commitment tracking, and headcount allocation across several engineering organizations or subdivisions
Ability to operate as a strategic peer to Engineering and Product leadership
Experience establishing or scaling a TPM craft/community capability, including defining leveling frameworks, competency standards, and mentorship or development pathways for TPMs
Fluency with modern AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows used in program management
Practical experience applying AI/ML concepts to real-world planning, risk prediction, or status synthesis
Experience defining governance for responsible AI use
Experience partnering with centralized Analytics or BI teams to design and evolve dynamic, data-driven resource allocation and portfolio models
Background operating in a matrixed organization with centralized and embedded TPM structures
Hands-on leadership using Jira-based or comparable delivery hierarchies
Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence at scale, simplify and automate planning and allocation processes, and integrate AI/ML-enabled solutions
Advanced proficiency with AI-powered portfolio and planning practices
Track record of leading organization-wide adoption of AI-powered planning practices
Familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real-world products
