About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Answer inbound calls from patients, family members, and provider offices
  • Make outbound calls to welcome new patients and assist with scheduling or rescheduling appointments
  • Listen to callers' needs and provide accurate, clear information
  • Adapt communication tone for provider offices, patients, and families
  • Partner with internal teams to resolve scheduling, benefits, and account questions
  • Accurately document every interaction while maintaining strict confidentiality
  • Resolve issues using good judgment and escalate complex situations when needed
  • Support patients, families, insurance representatives, and referring healthcare provider offices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must be able to attend required, paid approximately 3-week in-person training at the Erie, PA office before transitioning to remote work
  • Previous customer service, call center, healthcare, or related experience preferred
  • Strong computer and data entry skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Reliable high-speed internet
  • Dedicated, distraction-free home workspace for the remote portion
  • Must be compassionate, patient, dependable, organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently from home
  • Must be comfortable using multiple computer systems at once
  • Strong problem-solving skills and good judgment
