About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop advanced GUI functionality
Develop advanced Trigger Scripts
Develop intermediate external REST API scripts
Analyze customer network topologies and application stacks
Develop strategies to acquire high-value data from the wire
Profile industry-specific applications across multiple verticals
Create technical assets and written collateral for product improvement and marketing
Conduct root cause analysis of high-profile technology problems
Advise customers on issue resolution
Develop custom tools using Python and JavaScript-based APIs to extend the ExtraHop platform
Develop customized real-time data analysis
Create rich data visualizations for tactical investigations and strategic objectives
Create automated tools to streamline repeatable processes
Conduct hands-on learning sessions with key customer personnel

Requirements

What you’ll need

6-8 years of relevant experience
BS degree or equivalent
Experience in customer-facing positions
Understanding of core networking principles (layers 2 through 4 of the OSI model)
Understanding of application protocols including HTTP, SQL, CIFS/NFS, HL7, Memcache, and DNS
Familiarity with internet-worked applications and related technologies, including HTTP, databases, caching, and distributed systems
Experience with scripting languages such as Python and JavaScript
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent written communication skills
Independence, motivation, and desire for practice ownership
