About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with Engineering teams, Services, and Field Engineers as an individual contributor
- Help build and validate products and solutions for high-end customer deployments
- Write test strategies and test plans
- Develop tools and scripts for functional, performance, and scalability validation of platform and software solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- B.E. / B.Tech. or equivalent in CS/ECE/TCE/EEE, or MS in Computer science/application/engineering
- 2-4 years of relevant industry experience in Telecom/Data Networking and network security
- Excellent knowledge and work experience in most of the listed networking, operating system, testing, cloud validation, microservices, network security, and monitoring areas
- Good understanding of operating system concepts, network applications, and network operating systems
- Familiarity with Traffic Generators (Ixia/Spirent) and network debugging tools (Wireshark, ping, traceroute, etc.)
- Good knowledge of cloud-based application validation and microservices-based architecture
- Hands-on experience with test planning, computer networking topology planning, requirement-to-testcase mapping, test case writing, defect logging and tracking, and debugging
- Good knowledge of testing methodologies, testing types, and overall product lifecycle
- Good analytical and communication skills
- Knowledge of IEEE 802.1, including Bridging, VLAN, STP, MAC security, and LLDP
- Knowledge of L2/L3 features including TCP/IP, VRRP, IGMP, IPv4, IPv6, ICMP, ICMPv6, ARP; basic understanding of IS-IS
- Knowledge of network management and monitoring: SNMP, SFLOW, Netflow, RMON, and ERSPAN
- Knowledge of DHCP, DNS, SSH, RADIUS, TACACS, LDAP, IPSec, and CA
- Knowledge of network security and management features including Netlogin, AAA, IPsec, Firewalls, SSL, and SNMP MIB
- Experience with Unix/Linux and Windows environments
- ISTQB, Cloud Practitioner, Network+, CWNA, or CCNA certification is an added advantage
