About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage business application solution delivery within IT Retail Markets & Shared Services in support of F&G’s strategic goals
  • Lead technology services focused on developing platforms and applications for the business
  • Lead multiple projects in the solution delivery group and provide thought leadership
  • Directly manage cross-functional teams within Self Service and Marketing, Sales and Distribution Product teams
  • Oversee maintenance, support, scalability, and performance of applications
  • Own escalation for technology issues related to assigned business applications
  • Manage vendor and third-party relationships, including SLAs, contract terms, and performance
  • Enable technical architecture and roadmap development, translating business needs into technology solutions and managing risk
  • Partner with IT leaders, Architecture, and Engineering to align technology initiatives with enterprise strategy
  • Oversee internal and external development teams to deliver services within Sprint cadence
  • Manage resources, including coaching, staffing, and development of direct reports and teams
  • Create and enable solution delivery strategy
  • Communicate industry trends, tools, and practices to leadership
  • Ensure work is delivered on time, on budget, and with quality results meeting business outcomes
  • Ensure Agile process standards are adopted and operationalized
  • Ensure solutions meet F&G security, compliance, and disaster recovery guidelines
  • Estimate resources and manage teams including internal staff, external business partners, and third-party vendors

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate degree or bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • 8+ years supporting technology teams within the Life Insurance and Annuity or Financial Industry, including systems and processes specific to Retail Markets and Shared Services IT
  • 5+ years building relationships and networks across the organization, managing outsource vendors, COTS, and internal staff
  • 3+ years managing development teams
  • Strong fiscal acumen, including budget management, ROI/cost-benefit analysis, and financial reporting
  • Experience with business communication for technology enablement
  • Strong technical proficiency with application architecture, frameworks, and enterprise solutions delivery
  • Experience designing, developing, implementing, and monitoring adherence to policies, processes, procedures, and standards
  • Ability to work with Retail business teams and IT leaders to prioritize and understand project needs
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams, coordinate team activities, and mobilize workforce
  • Ability to maintain high standards of quality management, testing principles, disciplines, and tools
  • Executive leadership ability to influence and negotiate with peers and vendors
  • Strong project management experience
  • Regular and punctual attendance
  • Some travel required (less than 10%)
