About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct in-person sales activity throughout the assigned West territory, including advisor/producer meetings, training seminars, agent conferences, back-office training meetings, appointments, and other field engagements
- Develop and maintain relationships with advisors through proactive communication and visitation
- Identify new advisor relationships and business opportunities and support them through targeted sales campaigns, calls, follow-up, and virtual meetings
- Develop and execute a territory sales plan with sales leadership and distribution partners
- Prioritize advisor opportunities, travel, competing activity requests, and sales initiatives to maximize annuity sales
- Use company reporting, Salesforce, and other data to identify opportunities, evaluate territory trends, direct sales activity, and document interactions and follow-up
- Manage travel, entertainment, sponsorship, and other territory resources
- Complete accurate expense reporting and identify efficiency and return-on-investment opportunities
- Maintain expert knowledge of F&G products, programs, practices, resources, and the competitive landscape
- Collaborate with National Sales, National Accounts, Senior Internal Wholesalers, and other internal partners
- Communicate product, competitive, relationship, and territory information to internal and external stakeholders
- Execute territory priorities and established sales objectives
- Participate in team discussions, share best practices, and support the broader sales organization
- Perform other functions, duties, and projects as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree; Business or Marketing preferred, or equivalent industry experience
- Industry-recognized designation preferred, such as CLU, ChFC, or CFP
- 3+ years of wholesaling experience preferred
- Demonstrated success in sales and/or marketing functions
- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative home office environment
- Proficiency or ability to develop proficiency in Salesforce, illustration software, MS Teams, and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Strong time management, organization, prioritization, and follow-up skills
- Insurance industry and/or securities knowledge
- Ability to foster effective working relationships within the organization
- Strong PC skills
- Regular and punctual attendance
- Approximately 50% travel is required
