About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct in-person sales activity throughout the assigned territory, including advisor/producer meetings, training seminars, agent conferences, back-office training meetings, appointments, and other field-based engagements
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with advisors through proactive communication and visitation
  • Identify new advisor relationships and business opportunities and support them through targeted sales campaigns, phone calls, follow-up, and virtual meetings
  • Develop and execute a territory sales plan with sales leadership and key distribution partners
  • Prioritize advisor opportunities, travel, competing activity requests, and sales initiatives to maximize annuity sales and territory impact
  • Use company reporting, Salesforce, and other data/resources to identify opportunities, evaluate territory trends, direct sales activity, and document advisor interactions and follow-up
  • Manage travel, entertainment, sponsorship, and other territory resources responsibly
  • Complete accurate expense reporting and identify opportunities for efficiency and return on investment
  • Maintain current knowledge of F&G products, programs, practices, resources, and the competitive landscape
  • Position F&G solutions, support advisor needs, and identify sales opportunities
  • Collaborate with National Sales VP, National Accounts VPs, National Account Managers, Senior Internal Wholesalers, and other internal partners
  • Communicate product, competitive, relationship, and territory information to internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain ownership of commitments, organization, follow-through, and execution against territory priorities and sales objectives
  • Participate in team discussions, share best practices, and support the broader sales organization
  • Perform other functions, duties, and projects as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree; Business or Marketing preferred, or equivalent industry experience
  • Industry-recognized designation preferred, such as CLU, ChFC, or CFP
  • 3+ years of wholesaling experience preferred
  • Demonstrated success in sales and/or marketing functions
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative home office environment
  • Proficiency in company applications, including Salesforce, illustration software, MS Teams, and PowerPoint, or ability to develop proficiency
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong time management, organization, prioritization, and follow-up skills
  • Insurance industry and/or securities knowledge
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships within the organization
  • Coachable mindset and commitment to continuous development
  • Strong PC skills
  • Regular and punctual attendance
  • Approximately 50% travel is required
