About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide expert product analysis and support for implementing new life and/or annuity products and enhancements
- Maintain thorough understanding of life and/or annuity products, business platforms, data extracts, and support retail projects and initiatives
- Develop and maintain product checker/validation tools
- Support the Product Roadmap and Product Development/Product Implementation milestones
- Develop and maintain checker tools and calculators for products, riders, enhancements, and remediation efforts
- Create and review Model Office/UAT test plans
- Support strategic planning and execution of Model Office/UAT testing and explore test automation
- Assist with reviewing and creating Product Specs, System Requirements, and policy forms
- Support business-as-usual requests, including policyholder service requests, data analysis, product calculation/mechanics analysis, and marketing-material review
- Provide guidance, mentorship, or subject matter expertise to others as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Expert knowledge of Excel, SQL and Visual Basic for Applications, with the ability to manage large data sets and complex formulas
- Must be extremely detail oriented, analytical and able to handle multiple projects
- Team player with demonstrated ability to proactively identify issues and influence key project decisions
- Self-starter with strong initiative and ability to operate efficiently in unpredictable and challenging project environments
- Ability to interact successfully with personnel at all organizational levels in technical and business areas
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Familiarity with CRM tools
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- 3+ years working in the financial services or insurance industry
- Life insurance and/or annuity product knowledge, preferably Indexed UL and Fixed Indexed Annuity experience
- Familiarity with insurance administration and illustration systems preferred
- Combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree
- Regular and punctual attendance
- This position primarily involves sedentary work, requiring long periods of sitting, regular computer use, and occasional standing or walking
