About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Monitor and review network devices for security vulnerabilities, patch management, virus and spyware prevention, and protection of customer information
  • Assess networks for vulnerabilities and keep operating systems current and personal computers locked down
  • Review security patches, network event logs, internet usage, intrusion detection logs, and firewall logs
  • Check for virus and spyware outbreaks and ensure personal computers and servers have current protection
  • Monitor and maintain administrator user IDs and passwords and ensure strong, regularly changed passwords
  • Maintain laptop and PDA inventories and review patch levels and virus signatures
  • Coordinate yearly modem inventory
  • Provide written reports of internet abuse
  • Assist with risk assessment testing, penetration testing, and scheduling
  • Recommend changes to security programs and policies
  • Fulfill risk management and regulatory compliance responsibilities
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of experience
  • Excellent management skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to use a personal computer and job-related software
  • MS Word — Intermediate Level
  • MS Excel — Intermediate Level
