About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the complete opportunity lifecycle for F3EA and support coordinated growth for Mission Hardware
- Build relationship-driven growth processes from training events, active programs, former customers, employee and contractor networks, referrals, and strategic partners
- Maintain coordination with program leaders, managers, instructors, operators, and customer-facing personnel to identify requirements and opportunities
- Convert discussions and field observations into documented, qualified opportunities
- Own opportunities from identification through qualification, capture, bid/no-bid, proposal, submission, award or loss, transition, lessons learned, and closeout
- Establish stage gates, decision criteria, action plans, schedules, and pipeline accountability
- Assess customer access, mission fit, acquisition strategy, competition, contract vehicles, partners, feasibility, value, risk, and win probability
- Develop capture strategies, customer and competitor assessments, teaming approaches, win themes, solution concepts, and resourcing plans
- Coordinate proposal efforts across operations, PMO, Contracts, Finance, HR, Recruiting, Security, IT, Logistics, and executive leadership
- Use Unanet as the authoritative opportunity-management system and maintain accurate pipeline records
- Prepare pipeline reviews and executive dashboards covering status, value, probability, timing, risks, decisions, and resource demands
- Develop procedures, templates, and training for consistent Unanet usage
- Coordinate growth plans and joint solutions between F3EA and Mission Hardware while preserving company separation
- Build and maintain a SharePoint-based past-performance repository with contract, project, customer, outcome, and reference information
- Ensure proprietary, controlled, classified, export-controlled, and customer-sensitive information is handled according to policy and requirements
- Serve as the CEO’s principal owner for pipeline discipline, opportunity strategy, and growth execution
- Run recurring opportunity reviews and escalate decisions requiring executive access, investment, teaming, pricing, staffing, or operational commitment
- Ensure proposed solutions are executable, compliant, resourced, and aligned with company priorities
- Conduct win/loss reviews and maintain complete opportunity records
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Marketing, or related field
- Master’s degree preferred
- Experience working in CRM, ERP, or opportunity management systems
- Unanet experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to convert customer relationships and operational insights into qualified opportunities through proposal, award, and transition
- Proven ability to forecast, track, and manage multi-year business development pipelines
- Strong understanding of FAR/DFARS, IDIQ/Task Order acquisition structures, and contract lifecycle management
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills
- Experience developing capture strategies, win themes, and technical differentiators for complex federal bids
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance
- U.S. citizenship required
- Prior military or Special Operations Forces experience preferred
- Familiarity with Shipley or APMP methodologies preferred
- Experience with SharePoint or comparable knowledge management platforms preferred
- Experience building or managing corporate business development infrastructure within an SDVOSB or small business preferred
- Knowledge of GovWin, SAM.gov, Salesforce, or equivalent preferred
- Willingness to travel up to 30%
