About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support sales teams across different geographic regions with deal structuring, pricing, and contract reviews
  • Provide expert knowledge of product offerings, services, support, licensing programs, and best practices to sales organizations
  • Make key decisions and provide analytical recommendations to sales leaders
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Sales and Professional Services, Channel, Finance, Product Management, Product Development, Commercial Models, Legal, and executive teams
  • Manage day-to-day quoting, pricing approvals, and analysis
  • Provide and enforce discounting guidance across active and pending quotes in multiple regions
  • Ensure sales and negotiation strategies comply with established guidelines and policies
  • Manage service-level agreements for discounted pricing requests
  • Partner with Finance on sales reporting metrics
  • Analyze historical product pricing trends during deal reviews
  • Implement methods for deal reviews, deal scoring, and approval processes
  • Manage assigned projects and provide updates to Sales Operations leadership
  • Support the sales process, improve deal velocity, and remove obstacles to closing business
  • Communicate with headquarters and theater sales teams
  • Represent the voice of the field and customer to drive operational improvements
  • Uphold F5’s Business Code of Ethics and report policy violations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BA/BS Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Mathematics or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience reviewing deal structures, within Sales Operations, or in comparable roles supporting a sales organization
  • Intermediate computer skills, including MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Intermediate experience with CRM systems, preferably SFDC and Tableau
  • Intermediate understanding of Channel, Direct Sales Processes and Programs
  • Strong written, verbal and quantitative skills
  • Ability to juggle, multitask, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Creative thinker and self-starter
  • Very organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to conduct independent research
  • Ability to draw concise, well-supported recommendations based on detailed analysis
  • Customer excellence mentality
  • Problem-solving ability and ability to handle stress
  • Intermediate understanding of cross-functional departments
  • Ability to work with limited direction
  • Ability to speak and write in Spanish is a plus
  • Ability to work extended hours during end of quarters
