About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide strategic leadership for Infrastructure Engineering across multi-cloud AWS, GCP, and Azure environments and on-premise platforms
  • Drive platform engineering modernization and automation-first infrastructure provisioning and patching
  • Provide technical direction across network engineering, Linux and Windows engineering, cloud platforms, hypervisors, core IT services, and SRE support
  • Serve as site lead for India-based Infrastructure and Security team members, including employees outside the direct reporting hierarchy
  • Serve as senior site leader for the Hyderabad office and represent local employees to leadership
  • Mentor and provide operational guidance to India-based teams
  • Act as the primary operational escalation point for mission-critical incidents
  • Coordinate handoffs between global teams and support cross-functional collaboration across Infrastructure and Reliability
  • Partner with Service Desk, Major Incident Management, and global engineering teams on incident triage, communication, and executive engagement
  • Mentor, develop, and support technical teams
  • Collaborate with global Infrastructure, Security, Identity, and Architecture counterparts on unified roadmaps and follow-the-sun operations
  • Define KPIs and metrics for operational performance and developer productivity
  • Help identify use cases and drive AI adoption across the organization

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in technology infrastructure, systems engineering, cloud architecture, or platform operations
  • At least 5+ years in senior engineering leadership roles (Director or Senior Manager)
  • At least 2 years of experience functioning as a Site Lead or senior leader supporting multiple teams and coordinating with US-based leadership
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record overseeing large-scale cloud environments and physical data centers in complex enterprise environments
  • Expertise in Agile methodologies
  • Expertise in infrastructure-as-code, including Terraform and Ansible
  • Experience with cloud-native operations and hybrid networking
  • Deep understanding of developer platforms, including GitHub, GitLab, Perforce, ADO, artifact repositories, CI/CD frameworks, and observability stacks
  • Strong grasp of DevOps principles, ITIL, platform engineering, and infrastructure automation practices
  • Strong foundational expertise in Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows Server operating systems
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, firewall concepts, and load-balancing principles
  • Demonstrable poise managing high-severity operational outages, security vulnerabilities, or regional business continuity challenges
  • Experience automating toil, running blameless post-mortems, and implementing proactive observability and self-healing infrastructure
  • Preferred: AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional), Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or ITIL v3/v4 Managing Professional
  • Preferred: familiarity with ServiceNow, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Jira, LogicMonitor, and DataDog
  • Preferred: familiarity with F5 BIG-IP and XC platforms
