About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own medium to large platform initiatives, providing technical leadership on software architecture with a focus on testability, observability, and resilience
Define and communicate the strategic vision and technical roadmap for quality assurance
Lead the architectural design, development, and enhancement of enterprise-grade automated test frameworks
Analyze product source code to identify and address quality gaps
Partner with Product, Software Engineering, and Hardware teams to establish and enforce quality standards, metrics, and controls
Perform deep system-level analysis and troubleshooting of complex software and hardware defects
Evaluate system trade-offs and drive root-cause resolution across product engineering teams
Guide and mentor engineers on advanced testing methodologies, automation best practices, and designing for quality
Present complex technical data, quality metrics, and risk assessments to senior management

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 10 years of related experience; or a Master's degree with 8 years of experience; or a PhD with 5 years of experience; or equivalent work history
Progressive experience in both software development and software/hardware quality assurance engineering
Extensive test framework development experience
Deep expertise in software and hardware quality assurance engineering methodologies
Expertise in enterprise network architectures and modern testing paradigms
Extensive development experience with microservices, REST API, and gRPC
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Advanced ability to analyze product source code
Ability to construct scalable, reusable test automation frameworks using Python, Go, Java, or C++
Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills
Superior communication skills
Proven ability to influence technical strategy, mentor engineers, and drive adherence to engineering best practices
