About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and execute manual test cases for AR Unity applications and web-portal functionalities
  • Perform exploratory, regression, functional, and compatibility testing across smartphones, tablets, and AR headsets
  • Validate new features and bug fixes prior to release
  • Identify, document, and track defects with reproduction steps and severity/risk assessments
  • Collaborate with developers to prioritize and resolve issues
  • Perform root cause analysis where applicable
  • Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts
  • Document testing results and provide clear, actionable reporting
  • Work with product managers, developers, and Automation QA Engineers on quality goals
  • Participate in sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives
  • Provide input on edge cases and real-world usage scenarios
  • Promote QA best practices and quality standards across AR Unity and web-portal projects
  • Support release validation and sign-off processes
  • Use AI tools such as Claude to draft and refine test cases, generate edge-case and negative-test scenarios, summarize defects, improve bug reports, and support root cause analysis
  • Explore and recommend AI-based QA tools and workflows

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in manual QA / software testing
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices (functional, regression, exploratory, compatibility)
  • Experience testing across smartphones (OS, Android), tablets (UWP), and AR headsets (e.g., HoloLens, Magic Leap)
  • Ability to identify and clearly document bugs, glitches, and inconsistencies
  • Experience developing and maintaining test plans, test cases, and quality standards
  • Experience with Agile / Scrum Methodologies
  • Ability to write and refine test cases with Claude or other AI tools, using sound judgment about when AI output needs human double-checking
  • Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira and TestRail
  • Basic understanding of version control (Git, GitHub) is a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • QA or software testing certification such as ISTQB or CSTE is nice to have
  • Experience testing AR/VR or Unity-based applications is nice to have
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud environments is nice to have
  • Basic scripting knowledge is a plus, not required
