About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own quality assurance for web, desktop, and mobile products
Review requirements, specifications, and designs and provide feedback
Plan and execute functional, exploratory, regression, integration, permission, and user acceptance testing
Write test plans, test cases, and checklists
Test APIs and validate database results using SQL
Find, reproduce, document, and investigate defects
Design, build, and maintain automated test suites for web, desktop, and mobile applications
Integrate automated tests into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
Build reusable test environments and test data
Support product releases by identifying risks and running regression tests
Track quality metrics including defect counts and automation coverage
Investigate customer issues using logs, database queries, browser/API tools, and code changes
Verify fixes and add regression tests
Collaborate with developers, product managers, Support, and DevOps
Mentor QA team members and share testing knowledge
Evaluate new testing tools and improve team efficiency

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of software quality assurance experience
At least 2 years building and maintaining automated tests
Strong manual testing skills, including test design, exploratory testing, and regression testing
Experience triaging and investigating reported issues, including root-cause analysis with developers
Hands-on test automation experience with Playwright or similar frameworks; C# preferred
Working knowledge of C#/.NET
Strong SQL skills; SQL Server preferred
Experience testing web APIs with tools such as Postman or Swagger
Experience with browser developer tools
Experience testing web and desktop applications
Mobile testing is a plus
Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, a test management system such as Zephyr, Git, and Azure DevOps
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and written communication skills
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
Must be legally eligible to work in the location applied to
Security testing experience, FlaUI, SmartBear Reflect, mobile automation, CI/CD, virtual machines, ASP.NET MVC/Web API, Angular, SaaS applications, logging/monitoring tools, and ISTQB certification are preferred or advantageous
